These are the perfect size for a meal. I use one for meal, other for snacks and the last one for fruits. So far so good. Easy to clean and not heavy.I order it has a gift ? my sister-in-law like itThis bento box I bought at the same time as some others so I could compare, I bought the plastic versions as well as these metal ones. I thought I would like these better but they do no keep the heat as well, maybe you are suppose to put some kind of hot water in first and then add your food? I'm not sure as the food was cold by the time I went to eat it at lunch time. You cannot microwave these according to the bottoms and you cannot wash them in the dishwasher, we went ahead and tried to wash them in the dishwasher and it seems like there is now water in the space between the metal and plastic so I do suggest to stick to hand washing. Overall I think these would be great for transporting snacks/fruits/vegetables for a hiking trip but I don't trust it to keep my food warm.Could be more durable, but overall love the design and would still recommend.I like this product but just make sure you pre treat the sections before use. If your going to have hot foods pour some boiling water in there first, and if your eating cold foods put it in the freezer over nightBoth my grandson and I love this bento box. Very easy to use and clean. The insulated bag keeps his food hot or cold. The separated compartments helps with putting a sandwich or salad together keeping things apart until he is ready to make them. It is leak proof like it says.
