The Bigso lovisa is a stylish and durable file box with 12 files. It includes a secure-fitting lid and a label window for easy organization. Bigso paper laminate products have a core of thick, recycled fiberboard. The paper surface covering is applied with water-based glue. The look is contemporary and elegant. Bigso was founded in 1963 and at that time all our products were produced in recycled fiberboard. The emphasis in the beginning was on products that were tucked away in closets and attics. Fiberboard was seen as an economical solution for a range of storage needs for homes and businesses and our entire production went to the Swedish market. For many years, I searched for a way to create a streamlined, efficient and elegant looking system for office storage. I often ran across magazine photos of professionally decorated offices that were decked out in paperboard boxes but could never figure out how to emulate this look. Discovering Bigso was like being handed a design secret that has enabled me to finally achieve the effect I've been aiming for.Beyond the standard documents that accumulate from being a Mom and Registered Nurse, my house generates massive volumes of paperwork associated with 2 businesses. The Lovisa File Boxes have become a staple to my office organization style. Not only are they functional, they add decorative value to a space. I adore the way they look when placed next to each other on a shelf.The file boxes are constructed from high quality, thick fiberboard. They seem very study and built to last (as long as they're placed on a shelf and stored in a dry environment). The hinged style top opens/closes easily. Although they're a bit thin and "papery," the 12 enclosed files are decent. They contain attached, graduated tabs for easy visualization.NOTE: These do NOT work with traditional hanging files. However, letter-sized interior file folders (the basic, non-hanging files) will fit.TIP: To enhance visibility, I started adding Post-It Tabs to the top of each file. Otherwise, the files can be difficult to differentiate when the box is full of docs.I find the best feature to be the slim design. It functions on a bookshelf like a binder, yet works like a filing box. You can really cram a lot of paperwork into a bookcase without it looking cluttered!Now, a couple of these boxes did arrive dirty and scuffed. I've observed similar issues with other Bigso products I've ordered online, and imperfections are much more noticeable on the white boxes. It's as if whoever is preparing these boxes for shipment has grubby "working man" hands and is transferring some grease and dirt onto them in the process.Note the "wet" spot in one of the pics I've attached. This is where I used a medical alcohol pad to wipe off a grubby scuff mark. It actually dries perfectly as if nothing was ever there. I've used alcohol pads on several different style boxes now, all with positive results. Just be sure to scrub it gently as to not ruin the finish. Also, I recommend handling these boxes with CLEAN HANDS only!Out of all the boxes I've bought from BigsoI'm most impressed with this one. The overall quality, design, and aesthetics renders it a worthy buy.BTW: I purchased several of the Bigso Lovisa File Boxes in White w/ Thin Label Frames for $16.49 a pop w/ free Prime shipping. I plan to buy more when the price drops down below $20. I love these filing boxes, but simply don't feel they're worth more than this.
