First let me say I owned one of these for years. It was recently broken by my toddler grandson who was the 2nd generation to use it. Fluke accident - factors/ stars aligned just right kind of thing. I simply was looking to replace it as he liked finding change from emptied pockets and putting it in and watching how it works. This looked exactly like the old one (except color) and felt was worth the $8 for sure. Once rec'd however, it looked and felt like a thin, cheap, cheap, (did I say cheap) piece of plastic junk. It didn't even work properly. My first thought was this was exactly like something one would find at a dollar store... and basically expect it to look and operate (or not operate) that way. At $1 I would've kept it but at $8, SEND IT BACK!
