This is a great product! There are some things you should know before you buy, though. First, it looks as pictured, is packaged well, and truly very sturdy. I’m going to use it as a stand for a large TV in my living room. Second, it is spacious enough for a litter box as well as a litter genie. One of my cats is old and somewhat claustrophobic, and he has no issue going inside and using his box. He’s ~8lbs. My ~13-14lb Ragdoll can also walk inside with ease. Third, I recommend lining the bottom because this product could last a very long time if kept clean.Assembly is OK but there are two things you need to know. You need to supply your own Phillips head screwdriver. The instructions are easy to follow but there’s an issue with the door that could make the product look less nice. It is difficult to assemble the doors in the exact right spot because there needs to be a space above and below thats equal distance, and no notches where the hinges go. I found something to wedge in but I highly recommend installing the doors BEFORE the rest of the construction. Specifically, you should lay the pieces down and connect the hinge to the door, and then line the door up with the side panel and attach the other side of the hinge. Make sure it’s in the same place for both sides. Then, if you do the rest exactly as specified, it will be even easier to complete the construction. There’s one step that’s slightly difficult to do alone but very feasible for one person who isn’t strong (like me) to assemble this properly and without frustration.I left the doors open for a few days to let my cats adjust. The doors stay closed nicely because there’s a little magnet that keeps them in without preventing easy opening by a human. Kitties won’t open it unless they battering ram the doors from the inside. I do actually have a fluffy battering ram and thus far no issues!Great overall! Sturdy and attractive enough to repurpose if the cats won’t use it.
