I wanted to make a life change and start eating healthier. This was a great purchase to help me get started! I love that I can pack my breakfast, snack and lunch all in one box. It is so cute to carry around and easy to clean afterwards. I love using this bento box!I really like these containers, they're not too big and they fit well in bags. The only leak proof container is the top one because that's where the silicone ring is. The other layers do not have silicone rings so ofcourse they're not going to be leak proof. As for portion size, the bottom compartment is really big. I don't know how much food everyone else is eating but I'm a big girl and I eat a good amount but I don't even fill the compartments up. The middle compartment is smaller but it's meant for smaller things like vegetables and snacks, I put salads in that one. I've shoved huge enchiladas, pork chops and potatoes, spaghetti, you name it, in this thing. It's not a bad container, it's really cute and it helps you not eat a ton of food.The boxes were smaller than anticipated for ADULTS so picnic planning had to be PRECISE: bottom box 3.0 wide x 1.5 inches deep, slices of cheese and rolled lunch meat, middle layer is 1 inch deep chopped fruit, top layer 1 inch deep holds utensils. I took out utensils because I had a pesto salad to serve. Portions were good for small lunch or sushi; would not work for people with appetits! Served bread and crackers on the side. Cleaning them was a bit challenging since they are narrow and have tiny grooves molded into bottom of trays. Awkward to use if not eating at a table or have larger serving tray (WHICH I TOOK a tray for EA. PERSON) so they could eat a bit of everything, not one section of lunch box at a time. The utensil surfaces are tiny so bite size is tiny. I took adult size utensils to use which defeated the purpose of the bento box in the first place :( Great for KIDS, however fork has one serated like edge like a knife which could be sharp for young child. These will be good for nuts, protein bar, cookies, crackers, stone fruit; NO utensil snacks for future use to put into back pack for day hike, beach, picnic or road trip. Leak proof possibly?? however, my friends box dropped off her lap (unopened yet), it fell on the grass and popped open, salad spilled out; luckily had an extra box if someone was still hungry. ?I follow WW and these are great for meal prep and portion control. We reading the comments some said they were too small but I had to see for myself and I am glad I did. They are perfect for my lunches. I pack everything I need for my lunch wrap, turkey, lettuce, turkey pepperoni, a laughing cow and some celery and carrot sticks with a small container of dip. They hold more then you think. A perfect tool in my lifestyle change.I started looking into bento boxes to help with lunch portion control. After looking around at various other bento products, I decided to buy the two-pack one. I have been very happy with this product! It is just the right size for lunch, where I do not eat to much but am full enough to get through the day. I have washed this by hand only and even then it is easy to clean. I have not stored food in it overnight and I have not placed it in the microwave. Not sure if either would effect the easiness of cleaning. Do be mindful of the latches, as that is what keeps the box from busting open and you have to stack the layers right for the sides to latch correctly. Overall, it is worth buying.I bought these for my 11 year old. She loves them!! They aren’t leak proof, but they do stand upright so we’ve not had any issues with leaking. We bought the silicon dividers separately allowing her to have a variety of food in each lunch. The utensils provided work well enough, but she prefers using our appetizer forks, especially when having salad. The portion sizes are perfect! I think it holds more than enough food for those with smaller appetites and the right amount for those with bigger appetites like my daughter. The containers are narrow and not very deep so you do have to think about what you’re going to pack, but it’s not really been an issue for us. Buy these, you won’t regret it!I use muffin tins inside to further separate these compartmentsThey fit easily into a lunch kit or tossed in my purseI ordered the two pack but only got one.I love the product the looks and the portioning.
