I bought this to match an office set I purchased from Bed bath and beyond last month. I wasn't impressed with the pencil/utilities holder that the set had to offer so I thought to myself I could get something on amazon that would better for my office needs. Anyway, my new office organizer materials are white metal with light wood accents. I thought this was the best option to match the already purchased set. It was, although the shade of white on this item is a little brighter, it still works. I use it to hold business cards, pens/pencils, scissors ,a medium sized calculator and some post it notes. It's not huge but more than enough to organize those items and still look great. The body is plastic and easy to clean. The wood slats are stationary and not adjustable but still look great and I haven't had any break on me yet.
