Couldn't wait to get my new photo booth and it showed up this afternoon. After reading some of the issues other users have had but didn't find because they didn't try it out immediatley, I set about opening package up and checking it out. The studio and associated parts were all neatly packaged in the someone cheap carrier. I'd doubt that it would keep much water out and I'm not going to test that theory, but it does hold everything so you can keep it all together and not have to go search or lose things.Once all of was inventoried I found it easy to set up, the inside top piece flips down and hold the box open. Put a couple reflectors on the left and right, extended the power cord which I frankly find cheaply made and the dimmer switch I'm betting turns out to be a weak point it is so cheaply made. The brick to plug the USB cable into was light and worrisome as well. I plugged it in and pushed the power and the light came on. I put the diffuser in, it does droop a bit but the watches I was testing this with were small and it didn't get in the way. I was using the white background and found that for some reason the company name printed on the bottom showed thru the background. I put the black card underneath the white and removed that issue.I tried a couple photos using my Sony camera on automatic and did not like the way they look. The background was a bit muddied so i switched to manual and with a little fiddling found a setting that would work for me. The light was on for about an hour while I took the photos, then it was time to break the thing down and pack it away. As soon as I touched the brick plugged into my wall power I found it to be too hot to trust. Not on fire hot, not melting hot, but too hot for what should be minimal power consumption. The maker needs to stop sending those out, I may test it again tomorrow using a different brick and may plug it into a portable battery.In any event, I think it was cheaply made, stitching is not near perfect. The light itself is attached to the top with what looks like cheap tape that I had to press on to get it to fully attach to the fabric. I will probably put more tape of some time on it to make sure it stays put. The wiring from the lights to the wall is cheap, the dimmer is a cheaply made and my fear is tugging on the wire at either end is going to end the life of the cable and there is no easy way to replace it.All in all, for the price, be gentle with it and I think it is as good as any of the other consumer similar pieces.
