This sluice box is a well constructed product that will fit into a standard sized backpack or five-gallon plastic bucket with ease for easy transportation to the river. And once you get to the river, will easily open into a full size sluice box. In short, it's a wide, long, light, compact, well constructed sluice box that fits into either a backpack or bucket. What's not to like?I've seen straight sluice boxes for $135.00+ and they don't fold up. And because they don't fold up, they lack the compact convenience this folding unit brings to the river.Once unfolded and the screws are tightened down, this folding sluice box provides an excellent platform for the purpose of separating out classified material that you worked so hard digging out from under a bolder. Kudos for the wingnut suggestion in one of the prior reviews; mine is without wingnuts.Happy prospecting. :)
