Our story How we got our start In 2008, we learned a typical American child generates 67 pounds of lunch packaging waste each school year. All of that – plastic baggies/wrap/cups, paper cartons/bags, cellophane bags – eventually end up in our landfills. We decided to be part of the solution . . . hence, Go Green Lunch Box! What makes our product unique Bento lunch box design with 5 compartments to organize your food. Stainless steel bottle included for beverages. Our spill proof seal with our “turn n lock” lid protects from messy spills and keeps food fresh. Why we love what we do In conjunction with our children, we are excited to offer a lunch box kids & adults love while doing our part to help protect and conserve our environment.

I bought this for my daughter to use at summer camp and two weeks in, I have no complaints. It stores plenty of food and with the locking seal I have been able to send both wet and dry foods without worry. She places it upside down, on end, etc. with no leaks. The double zippers on the outer covering are durable and the print is great! I have honestly considered buying a second for myself.Excellent product. Very useful. We love this lunchbox for my third grader. My daughter's best friend has this box and her mom sang highest praises when I asked her what she truly thought about it and was it worth it? So after my daughter's previous bag recently fell victim to an unfortunate development we went to find the GoGreen lunchbox. So far my daughter absolutely loves it and I do too. I will say this upfront: I will not put the box into the dishwasher, because for one the website does say not to do that and two, how hard is it to wash it by hand? It takes me no time at all. But I digress, what I personally love about this box is that there is an 8oz stainless steel bottle that fits right into the box, adios juice boxes and so long expensive single serve milk. I love how I can give her homemade tea, water mixed with good fruit juices, oj or milk and it won't make me poor. The compartments are roomy enough for bigger meals if so wanted, or smaller meals even if they are messier. Although I would NOT put soup into these, for one it wouldn't stay warm and two, it would be too much liquid. So if she wants to take soup then it will be in a thermos container in a different bag. If she wants salad then I will put it into the compartment but stick the dressing into an extra small container into the box. I do like how all the foods stay separated and the snaps on the sides are super easy to operate, not a worry at all for my small kid. I am currently considering purchasing another bag for my 11 year old, but I want to wait and see how things work out in the longer term as her current lunchbox is still usable. I really love the Kaleidoscope pattern by the way, it's way cuter in person than in the pictures, there are tiny little hearts all over and the colors look bright and happy! We've been using these lunchboxes all year and our kids and their teachers love them! Our kids are 2.5 years and 4.5 years and BOTH of them can operate the lids themselves. You just have to teach them to CLOSE the box. It's not difficult. We've never had anything spill out into the carrying cases, so I guess we're just lucky that our toddlers were able to figure out how to close their lunchboxes. The one complaint that I have is that the strings/clips that connect the lid to the base when the box is open are flimsy and have broken on our boxes. I don't like them anyway, so I just took them off.I purchased 3 of these. 2 for my 2 kids and one as a gift. I thought it was such a great product and leak proof and perfect for my 2 and 6 year old. Well it's not so kid friendly! My 6 year old son couldn't close it tight enough after lunch one day and so liquid leaked out and through the insulated lunch bag. It got into the laminated fabric and there was no way to get it out. So I washed it try to get brown stains from a place that I couldn't get to (between the flimsy insulated fabric and the exterior scotch guarded fabric. Well after less than 3 months of use, the bag got smelly and foul. Just like the reviewer before me, it was horrible and the lunchbox case is unusable unless you want a stench of mold wafting in your nose every time you use it. I wrote to the owner of the company, thinking she would rectify the situation knowing I've only used this for 3 months and spending $100 on all three bags ( I just wanted on lunch bag replaced). This is her answer:"Occasionally, if kids didn't shut the food box properly, excess fluid would get in the bag and seep thru the very tiny sewing needle holes and then water would get trapped between the cotton fabric and the lamination. If water "puddled" in just the right area of the bag, the water would seep thru and get caught and cause mold. Realizing kids do have large spills on occasion we have decided that all our new carrying bags will all be made with a "breathable" fabric to avoid mold. You can purchase just the carrying bags on the website, rather than an entire new set. "She admits that this could happened and I could buy another one because they resolved the issue?!?!?! If she knew that this has happened before and saw the problem to the point of changing her whole line of lunch bags, why couldn't she be courteous enough to replace my moldy one? Kids will be kids and things will leak! I will not spend anymore money on this company. Also, the insulated fabric is so flimsy and thin that the twist knob that locks the lunchbox has marked a hole into it (more liquids will easily get in now). Very cheaply made by a cheap company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The case is also made in China...hmmmm... I've referred so many moms to this box before this problem and now I feel bad that they will have the same issue as me with no avail besides shelling out another $20 + shipping for another lunch bag.Get a Laptop Bento box. My kids still are using it for the last 3 years and never a problem and less bulky too.A great idea with poor manufacturing!!! I purchased two of these with high expectations, I was immediately disappointed upon first sight of these. They are HUGE! more like a brief case. And not user friendly to little ones at all (like advertised )!! There are too many clamps and they are not easy at all to snap down. My kids (age 8 and age 5) just turn the open/close mechanism to close to keep the lid on after eating their lunch which does not seal things like left over yogurt from seeping out. Now my "pretty" Go Green lunch boxes have terrible looking stains all over the oustide of the box that I can not get to, to clean because the inside of the lunch box lets the liquid absorb in but you cant get to it to clean it through the outer coating. And never put the lids in the dishwasher despite that they are advertised as dishwasher safe! The thin plastic lids warp under the heat of the dishwasher and then to clamp down the already awkward clamps becomes near impossible. I cracked mine trying to force the clamp down. Not to mention taking the silicone rings off and on in order to put in the dish washer! I would have never purchased these if I would have known how un-user friendly they are!We have four kids and these are the only lunch boxes I buy. They are pricey but they last and they hold enough food to take them from kindergarten to grade 12. They are roomy enough for adult lunches, no problem. Full sized sandwich fits if you cut it diagonally and tilt it a bit putting it in. Opening/closing will require practice for little ones, but my 3 year old could do hers by herself after a couple of weeks. I regularly put goopy stuff like yogurt and dips in, with no leakage. I wouldn't chance it with soup, but who knows. Lunch box is good, not that you have a choice as it's the only one that will fit this huge box!I love the quality if this lunch box. I wish the ice back was larger, but overall happy with the purchase and I look forward to using it at college or on roadtripsLove it
