This has a strong spring on this box and I had my fingers near the back which has two tiny gaps near the spring. I managed to catch my skin in the gaps when closing. As this is for my granddaughter I am going to cover the two gaps at the back of the box with some tape, so she cannot do as I did. I will also make sure she keeps her fingers clear when opening and shutting. Having said that I mention only for awareness if giving to a younger child, so please do not be put off, as this is such a pretty box exactly as shown and the light makes it very special.Truly lovely presentation box.
