I wanted the internal jars to be lidded-i wonder if masalas got invented after indian cooks fumbled and dropped their dabbas! Lol. Anyways, its nice and simple, the tins all have snug but still open-able lids. It’s deeper than others I looked at, so the Rani 3 oz jars of spices empty into the interior tins just right. The only drawback is the larger center spice jar does not actually fit, it was jammed in, and took some prying to get out, I wont be using it as it will scratch and ding up the tins if I try. So i will tuck some of my curry leaves that are in a bag into the center and call it good. Now all my indian spices are in one place for when I want to get all fancy and do up a curry!
