Thetimber is then cut (bookmatched) in our workshop to ensure the timber remains strong and stable. Next, the timber is cut to size, carved, drilled and sanded by hand.Custom made brass hinges are then installed and the box is left for 24hours to cure. We take pride in the final process – finishing. Each box is handsanded, coated with a mixture of bees wax and burnishing oil. Theinternal velvet parts are cut to size and then installed by hand. Our design process allows us to customise your box to suit your ring,ensuring the best fit. Each engagement box is made to last a lifetime.
