The box arrived shipped from Amazon in a plastic bag. Fortunately, the supplier packaged the box in the flat adding sturdy plastic corner protectors to prevent the corners from being damaged. Especially nice, the box sets up easily, using no sticky adhesive patches, but magnets to hold together. This feature has the benefit for the recipient, of being able to break down the box if not in use. The exterior surface is matte, textured and almost charcoal grey in color. It erects squarely and evenly to present your gift in an extremely positive way. The magnetic closures would initially release. Some repeated folding of the lid was required to work out stiffness at the hinge points. This minor effort was needed to ensure the lid would stay closed. In all, an excellent product with only minor effort by the buyer to make fully functional.Perfect little box for organizingI used this as a gift box for a friend. It was easy to assemble and the magnetic pieces in the flap were strong enough that I didn’t need to use the extra adhesives. Sturdy and a beautiful color!This lived up to the description 100%. Well packaged, with plastic guards for the corners, encased in a protective bag, easy to assemble and made secure with magnets and sticky tape. The box is a lovely pearlized pink and very sturdy--I used it as double-duty for bride at her shower. Did not have to wrap it, put her gift inside with just a pretty bow on top-- which stood out from all the other packages. Suggested she open present near beginning of shower, and after she saw her gift, explained how box's purpose was to hold all her shower gift cards.
