This thing is the perfect size. Breakfast and lunch go in the same lunchbox so I needed something that isn't too deep to stack. I originally got Rubbermaid containers but the different compartments are not sealed so liquids tend to find their way into the other compartments. This solves that problem! The compartments are the right size, and I love the little sauce compartment too! The top and bottom pieces come out to clean, but the seal on the top part became stained in the first week of use. It took me a while before I realized it wasn't going to scrub off. So now it always looks dirty. But other than that, this is the perfect bento box for all your tiny portion needs!UPDATED REVIEW:08/31/22 - Customer service very promptly reached out to me right after I posted my initial review and offered to mail me a new replacement product at no charge. It was clear this is a company who makes Customer Service a priority. Very impressed with them and I've changed my rating to reflect this. Now I can say I would in fact purchase from them again. They want satisfied customers and work hard to ensure this.Original Review:I'm worried about even sending this to school in my child's lunchbox because the lid definitely does not close securely. I can barely touch it with my hand and it will unlatch. I don't know if I just happened to get a defective product?? However, I'm worried that it just being jostled slightly inside her lunchbox might cause it to open and spill out her lunch. Would not purchase again.This is a small lunch box. Purchased for my 8yo to use when it’s pizza day at school.. she takes fruit and snacks to supplement her lunch.I seriously love this product ! So sturdy and it is the perfect size for my 4 year old ! Not heavy at allMy daughter is 4 and has quite a small appetite most of the time. She takes lunch to school everyday and getting this much smaller box allows me to pack smaller portions with the hopes that she’ll waste less food. The only negative is that the inner lid insert is very hard to get off. I have to use utensils to pop it off to clean/dry it.Love that you can take the top off so you can really scrub it.
